Does anyone know how to remove cement stains from riven slate, which is used as a base for my wood burning stove? Are there any good products on the market that won't damage the slate? Thanks for your help!

Try Jewsons - they do a cement cleaner that we used to clean brick and slate surfaces in the conservatory.
