SPIDERS! How do I get rid of them?!
21 Answers
I've got the regular Autumn invasion of spiders and have tried everything in the book to get rid of them! Has anyone tried an ultrasonic spider repeller? I've found one here: http://www.primrose-london.co.uk/advanced-spider-repeller-whole-house-p-1277.html has anyone tried this one?

I just leave them alone unless they're trying to weave a cobweb around the passive ray which activates our burglar alarm system, as if it's very sensitive, a spider walking across it, can trigger the alarm, as I once found out. They're perfectly harmless. Now if you had cockroaches, that would be a different matter altogether.
I don't kill spiders unless I have no option - especially the very large ones, even though I hate them. If I see one running across the floor I get an upturned glass over it (keep itslegs in - not your's, it's) and slowly put stiff card underneath. It will walk onto the card and I thrown them out into the garden. I expect they break their necks when I throw them out of the bedroom window though. I use a fly spray in holey corners or under the bed (before you leave the room for a while, try not to breathe it in) helps although that probably kills them, so forget what I said in the first place ...
