BIRO MARKS

I have a light wooden toy that my grandson has scribbled on in Biro ink, is there anything that will remove this, many thanks for any advice.

Can you lightly sand it down clay & if needed some clear varnish/ paint?

Depending on the size of course, submerge it in Meths and leave for an hour or two, then gently scrub with an old tooth brush.

Colour the rest in with Biro then no-one will notice

Two things to try...1) make a paste of baking soda and warm water, and rub it on the marks with a soft cloth. 2) put some hairspray onto a Q-tip, and rub the marks gently. One or other of these tips should work. Let us know.

Nail varnish remover will remove biro from practically anything, including clothing (except silk and satin of course). It also removes Elastoplast marks left on skin.

alinana, would nail vanish remover damage leather if the biro mark was say on a leather suite.

Tony, if you use nail varnish remover on leather it's OK so long as it's the non-acetone type.
