Had a lot of work done last year to my electrics and used a website called "Rated People". It works really well. Put in what job you want done and approximately how much you are prepared to pay and you will get three phone calls giving you quotes. The beauty of it is, that you can read reviews of the person's work before you agrre to employ him/her. Give it a whirl.
