My son is a teacher and keeps getting ink on his shirt because he puts his pen in his top pocket - as anyone any idea how to remove it? This is the third time! I think it must be an occupational hazard!

Alcohol is the key.

No, I'm not suggesting that your son (or you) takes to the bottle (although, having been a teacher myself I know that it's a great temptation in the run up to Christmas!). Any alcohol-based product (particularly nail varnish remover) should do the trick:

Thanks Buenchico will try.
Mr Jules used to always get ink on his clothes, soaking it in milk used to help sometimes, but it did depend on what ink it was.
Does anyone remember the plastic pocket guards ??

As it has been mentioned, milk could work. Don't do what I did though and pour some on the stain. It dispersed it making the thing even worse!
100 lines and an after school detention for that naughty boy.!
Mrs sqad says "Stain Devils" are the answer.........available in any supermarket near you.

milk is the answer and it disperses on first glance but disappears in the wash.
Don`t use nail varnish remover on a nylon shirt if he has one as it will melt it, so I`ve been told.
soak with hairspray, then wash
