empty pasta sauce jars

does anyone have any suggestions as to what i can do with them...i have a load that my five year old daughter wont let me throw in the recycle bin as she wants to keep them, but i dont know what to use them as thanks in advance

You could get some glass paints and have her paint and decorate them up and she could give them to people?

Use them as storage jars in the kitchen

Our daughter (who makes lots of models), rolls out Fymo, then using a craft stencil, presses out patterns on it - say stars or moons. She then wraps it around fancy jars or little glasses, then uses them as candle holders.

Fymo comes in many different colours & they do look very pretty.

P.S. When I say rolls out Fymo - she actually uses a pasta rolling machine.

Thank you crisgal, I shall tell my daughter (Wispy68) when she's on AB.

She made me a green covered jar just before Christmas, which when alight (& the lamps are off), reflects star & moon shadows on the wall - it's really lovely.

Meant to say - to hide the screw tops of glass jars, she rolls out Fymo into thin strips, then twists it into a pattern, then places it around the top.

Hi suzie - sorry I'm late - just popped up to switch off & noticed your post.

Just realised I spelt it as Fymo - was thinking of garden mowers! I meant Fimo!

My daughter buys her 'Fimo Polymer Clay' from HobbyCraft, Staples & most good craft shops. You could also Google it to see a few examples.

Hi Suzie,
I use the jars for screws, nails, pins, etc, you could screw the lids under a shelf and screw the jars onto them so that they hang down. You could also use them for oxo cubes or herbs etc. Hope this suggestion may give you a bit of thought, John
