I am looking to buy a shower attachment for my bath....but my taps are square-ish and not round.I only want for VERY occasional use-every 3months or so and so dont want to pay a fortune but also dont want the water to be spurting from the rubber attachment on the tap!!! Any suggestions please??

My mother had the same problem with her bath taps, I found Wilkinsons sold an attachment which could handle non-round taps. The tap attachment was achieved using jubilee clips on each of the taps (not just a push fit); with a solid plastic t section linking both taps to the shower attachment.

At high pressure, the tap attachments had a habit of breaking free from the t section – this would happen if the shower-head was blocked or the hose kinked.

I don’t know if Wilkinsons still sell the attachment – but other bath accessory shops should sell something similar.
A company called Croydex may supply a product that is suitable. If you contact them they will advise of local stockists in your area
