Water leaks in flats

I have a ground floor flat, one of 6 in a purpose built block.

I have owned it for the last 5 years and the boiler in the flat above me has leaked 3 times causing various amounts of damage to my flat.

Can I hold the owners of the flat above responsible for the damage to my flat and if so, how do I go about claiming recompence?

I would think that you can and should.

The best way to make a claim is to go through your household insurance company and they will do it on your behalf.

Good luck
