......or Angel's Fishing Rods.

I love these plants & wondered if anyone grows them.  If so, where in the garden do you have yours & would you say that they are difficult?

I'm not getting any younger (cue violin) and I don't want to wait years for something to establish that's going to come to nothing!!

Hi Noddy,
I don't have these yet, but they are on my list of 'must haves' when the pond is installed. That should be in about 2 more years after we finish other renovations. It is my understading that they are easy to grow and look lovely cascading over a pond or back lit by the sun. You might find these conversations interesting.

Thanks Newt - very helpful as always!  They are lovely aren't they -  perhaps it's not moist enough soil for my original idea but I'm sure I'll find the right place. I'd love a pond too (& so would the frogs & toads I daresay).....

I have a strong feeling this will be a big gardening year!

You are very welcome! Glad I could help. Maybe you can create the damp conditions by making a depression in the area where you would like to plant them. If you can get seeds it should be worth a try anyway. I figure if I kill a plant 3 times then it's time to give up. :-)

Sorry to interrupt you two, but I have never heard of this plant and was fascinated by it's lovely name.

I hope your plants will take off like rockets and  grow in record time,  noddy - and perhaps also we will both have our dreams come true this year - and have  ponds........

That's a good idea Newt, I could try & keep the ground boggy - unless the climate does that for us . The weather here (in Derbyshire UK) wasn't very good last year.  Problem now is which variety to choose....?!

Cetti there are no pictures on here or in books that do these plants justice but I've seen them on tv & they look amazing. We can start another club - Pond Life - well maybe not!!

Mmm, the pond life does seems to be on the increase, noddy ;-)
