Ants on the Drive

Must be the time of year. The ants are back, digging up my drive and leaving sand and holes everywhere. How do I get rid of them - for good ? Something bird and pet friendly please.

I'm slightly biased (because I sell it) but I would use something like Nemasys 'No Ants'. This a solution of tiny nematodes that attack the ants and is perfectly safe for use around pets and children. "ant stop" from b&q, spray it on the entrances to the nests, regularly. it keeps them down.

Our ants are " is it above 8 degrees C ? " ants.
They've surfaced once or twice, but soon beat a retreat.

Get an Anteater as a pet!
