We've got a Hotpoint Family wash machine, it has some options but basically we use it for Wash and spin, ready to go out or in the tumbler dryer. Very happy wtih it.
I have an AEG machine which has proven to be very reliable and washes quite well. I have no idea how current models are rated.
We have a Zanussi Hydrosystem which is really straight forward and quite reasonable to buy too. Hope you find one you like?
Bosch Exclusiv. Brilliant machine .Easy peasy to use .Never gone wrong in nearly ten years .
I would never buy a Hotpoint again .Nothing but trouble from the day after the guarantee ran out :)
i have an indesit w1b111.just right for family of 3.my sidter bought same one few months ago and finds it perfect for the 4 of them.and was very reasonable.good luck

Thank you all very much , a lot to think about. Am out tomorrow to buy one. Thanks everyone for your time.Sincerely Brenda.
I absolutely agree with Shaney Star. Steer clear of Hotpoint, buy Bosche.
Bosche machines are better than Hotpoint and their kitchen and garden tools reliable - unlike Hotpoint washing machines!
I recently bought a Hotpoint and it says Hello to you. I only bought it because it had a huge amount of discount on the price - supposedly a very special offer. Wish I hadn't now. [:o(
Mrs C. -- You're not having much luck lately are you? Don't like your WM aww! did it not come in 5 diff't colours?

Thanks again everyone.
Hey Jem, if I told you all the bad luck we've had since moving to our new abode, you'd still be reading this thread tomorrow morning! (I'm taking it all in my stride though - deep breaths and all that). [:o)
I bought a Beko. AAA on all washing/drying cycles. 1600 spin. 7 kilo load. Well under £300. A very good buy and am very pleased with it.
