Security marker pen

Where do I buy a security marker pen from to mark my valuables at home? I actually have one but I don't know if it works. How do I find out?

And to view them, you need an ultra violet light. I haven't looked personally, but im assuming you can get an AV torch type thing?

Keep on eye open in `Aldi`s` that`s where I bought mine, and `Boo` is correct.

Most reasonable hardware shops should sell them or locksmiths.

you need a uv torch to read the marking as someone else suggested. I thad bother when I bought one through ebay as the torch wasn't working & it took an age to arrive. No local shops, including hardware stores didn't stock them & I even asked at the local police station to no avail. I ordered the pen & uv torch from these people. Delivery was quick too.

our police came round to our house after i applied for a security marker pen
NOT the ultra violet type, this has and ink which is similar to a DNA data base and cannot be rubbed off and is unique to our address and name.
phone your local police and ask them if they do the same
the system is called "SMARTWATER"

You can get them from the local cop shop, sometimes free. Neighbourhood watch areas usually know where to get them

Make sure you write the postcode and ID on a place where you can't see them (e.g. round the back) - I wrote on the front of a hifi unit once many years ago, and you could see the lettering in a certain light without a u.v torch.
