I have recently painted over my white kitchen boiler with Ronseal Paint & Grain BASECOAT in a colour to match my kitchen cupboards. This has been a complete success as the boiler really fits in with the colour scheme now. Has anyone tried painting over the front of a white washing machine with this product, as I would now like to paint this to match also, but just want to be sure of another good result.

I've done this to a refrigerator with pretty good results.  One should thoroughly clean the machine with a paint solvent such as mineral spirits, etc., then using a fine steel wool "deglaze" the existing finish.  The best results are achieved when using several light coats of applied spray paint from a can.  Not to much at a time or you'll get runs. If you'll be patient and use several coats, you can get an attractive finish. The canned spray produces a more even finish and controls the brush marks from brushed paint.  One problem though, will be the fumes... best if done outside or at least with good ventilation... Good luck!
