Pebbledash

Has anyone ever tried spraying pebbledashed walls with an adhesive solution to try and stop the stones dropping off? Obviously I don't want to do that and trap moisture in the wall or destroy it's natural porosity.

I've never heard of that being done Wii .............. anyway, the adhesive would need to go "behind" the pebbles to be effective. All I've ever come across is, taking all the pebbles off, washing them, new coat of render, and throw the pebbles back on again.
Better still, throw the pebbles away and finish with render only ............ but that doesn't help, does it?
