In my spare room I have one large window and then one tiny one probably about a 2 foot across. So what curtains should I get, normal ones for big window but what about smaller one?

Stick to the same single plain colour for both curtains.

A big floral pattern, for example, would look OK for the larger curtain but would look a bit odd on the smaller one.

I have a similar arrangement in one of my rooms. I got full curtains for the big window and a single curtain for the small one. Both have tie backs.
We like it...but it's personal taste in the end.
a small roller blind same colour of the curtains ? are you buying ready made curtains ?
Meant to add, all three curtains are the same self-coloured material. I picked the material from our local mill shop and they had a list of people who made them up.
If you have a sewing machine, you could do it yourself...I used to when I was younger. Getting lazy now!

was thinking just one curtain for smaller window, can you but just on then? not sure what colour though as eventually could be babies room
I don't think you can buy just one ready made , but I await correction.
oh!!!!!!!11 a nice pale blue or lemon or safe neutral tones
You could use a neutral colour (china white is nice) and then when/if it becomes a baby's room you could personalise it with pink/blue accessories and stickers (not rubbish ones - they do some really nice ones now).

not quite yet anne! :-) but probably sooner than next set of curtains. Although gonna have a multi coloured room with mr men :-)
Hi 4get. Hope you are well.

I have the same, one large and one very small window. I bought two lots of curtains and just use one on the smaller window. And I have a spare!!

How's the job?
(and what's this about babies!! ;o)
Mine are cream voile curtains, but lined so not too flimsy.
no point in phoning red then, 4get ?
Question Author
walls are cream so didnt want to get cream curtains too. Jobs fantastic, and just planning ahead :-)
Question Author
er no dont get red excited :-)
Glad you love the job.

I would just avoid curtains with too much pattern. Cream curtains look quite nice with cream walls as long as they are a similar cream!! Mine have the odd embroidered motif on them in pale green. They look OK.

Little Mr Men on curtains might be a bit premature!!
