hi, my angelica in the gharden has just about had it - do i need to do anything to it, cut it back, or just leave it?

Now's the time to dig up the roots and use 'em.

It does die unless you've removed the flower heads (which prolongs its life)

If it's flowered & self-seeded, I reckon you could safely cut it down and the seeds will produce new plants next year.
