Cavity Wall Insulation
4 Answers
We have been in this house 30 years, and apparently, cavity wall insulation was injected into the house 5 years before that. I have recently been told that the material used that long ago would probably have disintegrated into dust by now, that the material used nowadays is so much better. Is this true, could anyone advise? Many thanks.

My neighbour had her house insulated last year, and she has raved about how warm the house is....it is, and how they've noticed a huge difference in their heating bills. I can't say the same for this house. I shall certainly be contacting a reputable company for their opinion now.
Interesting question Christianne, we had cavity wall insulation put in about 30 years ago, made a big difference at the time. Your assumption that it may be defunct now is a valid point.
Sorry, not an answer to your question but would like to know if this theory is true.
We do feel the cold more now, maybe just getting old!!
Will watch to see if you get any more feedback.
