I have always placed Potterton in the suspect list for cheap parts. Ariston may welll be not much better. I would start with Worcester. Thay have had a pretty good reputation over the years with Worcester .. Danesmoor .. Bosch .. etc.
In the latest Which? report on boilers, Worcester and Vaillant were joint top for reliability.
Worcester-Bosch - for the reasons above.
I've always used Worcester, Danesmoor, and now Vaillant
That's that about squared up then : )
Valliant on the good list too. I agree with that.
Worcester here too.Had a new one installed in my last house and also have one here which is 3 years old. No problems whatsoever.
