please can anyone help , l have a yucca or yucci spelt this plant wrong, anyway whats happened is my plant has gotten a bit big it's green leaves are at the top of the plant , the main stem is long and split's in the middle l do hope someone knows what l am talking about l am not green fingered ata all but have had this plant for over 14 years the only one that has'nt died on me . l do love it but l seriously need help, l would appreciate any help on this thank you.

By the sound of it, your Yucca, has split in two, and you'll have two crowns on top of each stem. Hope that makes sence, I wish I could draw if for you!!
It sounds like quite normal Yucca behaviour. I would not worry.
I had a Yucca type plant that I had nurtured for years, I think I overwatered it though cos the lower leaves fell off and it looked all straggly, it was very tall though. Eventually I sold it on ebay - someone came with a big van to take it away ! then I went to Ikea and bought a new fresh one.
Do you mean the stem has actually split in the trunk, or it's got a new shoot coming off to the side at the top?
