24v power supply in a 19v laptop

If you put a 24volt power supply into a 19v laptop would anything bad happen to the laptop at all? Or what if the power supply was 12v?

help.is it possible to somehow split the wire coming from satelite dish to rear of digital box into another digital box?ie. so feeding the signal from dish to both boxes,if that makes any sense!...
