I apologise in advance if this question has been asked before.

How do I get Sky TV on my portable TV upstairs? My Sky box is in the lounge so would like to receive the signal upstairs.

Do I need to buy an aerial for the portable?

Thanks in advance.

Not an expert.......but i am on roll this morning.

You probably need a small transmitter from the downstairs digibox and a small receiver for your upstairs portable.

proper answers will soon follow.
dont you need to pay extra to get it on another tv?
3 choices..

1) run a standard aerial cable from the sky box to the upstairs room and connect it to the RF2 output on the back of the sky box and tune the tv into the signal (you can get a sky magic eye too that will enable you to control the sky box from upstairs)

2) get a wireless video sender (some will send the remote signal back the other way so you can control the sky box from upstairs)

3) get sky multi room which means another sky box and another feed from the dish to the upstairs room (there is a monthly charge for multi rooom)
As Chuckfickens says on #1, you need to plug it into RF2 which has the 12volt output or the magic eye wont work...
