The technical name for that type of magazine quiz where you pick an aswer and follow a route down?

Often found in girl's magazines where-by the user answers a question and is directed down a route to the next question, eliminating other possible routes.

What is the scientific or technical name for these types of quizzes/questionnaires?

I think these quizzes, and likewise Osbourne Puzzle Adventure books have a more technical name.
