Khyam rapidex system - joint replacement

Having just snapped one of the joints on a bedroom pole set for my new (to me...) tent, and having ordered up a spare, I wondered if anyone had useful insight to impart on removing and refixing said joint.
There appears to be a kind of stud that can be pressed in but if anyone has tps and wrinkles - or indeed a clue what I'm talking about - I'd be grateful.

Thaks Ron - but I think I've worked it out with a screwdriver. FYI this is the joint:

You have to depress the plastic stud very hard to remove the fitment from the pole.
