Renaissance gas fire

We have the above gas fire and the ceramic rope around the front of it needs replacing, but I can't find one anywhere. We also need new 'coals', can you use any kind of gas coals, and does anyone know anything about the ceramic rope PLEASE, or is there anything we can use instead. I did find some on Ebay but the site seems to be obsolete. The fire was made by DGF fabrication, who seem to have gone out of business. Hope someone can help - the evenings are getting colder........rosy
