Paid £8.50 for item end of Jan...
Missed parcel and went to p/o next day who said it wasnt there
I was waiting on other parcels so went 4x and picked up last of
My orders today which enabled me to eliminate and see what i hadnt recvd...
Emailed and seller says "not my problem" actually very hostile!!
I explained i had to wait till all parcels came PLUS royal mail wont accept as lost till over 15days..... Bloody idiot- now the seller has to complete the form to get compensation :0/
Cba with the hassel - can shove the £8.50 where the sun dont shine. Didnt include a return address either- idiot

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It is the seller's problem. It isn't yours until the item has been received by you. That said, if the seller wants to be difficult you could be in for a hard time.
Always amazes me when a seller offers secure delivery at extra cost. They're basically asking the buyer to volunteer to pay the seller's security/peace of mind for them.

It's certainly their problem (and I know, I sell, and this does happen). Have you opened a dispute on eBay for non-delivery of the goods? You have 60 days to open a dispute.
If the seller didn't keep proof of postage it certainly will be their problem, as the transaction can be cancelled and eBay/PayPal will give you the money back.
PayPal have just refunded me for a transaction where I'd send the goods but the buyer didn't have enough money in the bank to pay PayPal - if the seller kept a proof of postage (for which you don't have to pay anything extra) then you should get your money back. Go do it now - don't waste time on here.

As others have said it most certainly is their problem... the item is still their until it reaches your hands

Not to sure what you mean by paypal refunding you when the buyer didn't have the funds? If there were no funds you wouldn't have received a payment anyway, so why would you send the parcel?

Tracking number shows they posted 26/28th but nothing else and i certainly havent recvd the item....
I would leave feedback because the p/o...its because they have to fill out the form and theyr so damn rude and hostile id rather they shoved their money where the sun dont shine and take it on the chin...

I have been buying and selling on Ebay for more than ten years, and normally only buy from sellers with 98%+ feedback. I bought something a couple of weeks ago and, for the first time, it did not arrive.
Message to sender was answered within the hour, and after waiting another few days they sent a replacement which arrived a day later.

Raise a dispute with Paypal. It is really easy and it is up to the seller to do the leg work and get proof of postage and delivery. You don't need to talk to the Post Office or anything. If they can't prove delivery then you will most likely get a full refund.

it does sound like the problem lies with the PO if they have confirmed the item has genuinely been posted...but unless he paid for insurance (unlikely) i dont think you can claim anything back...(not sure though, worth checking)
