I'm pretty sure that I've opened word documents using Paint before but now when I'm trying to do it a box comes up saying "This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not curently supported" I wonder has something changed and can it be changed back or am I imagining things?

I bet you actually opened an image file with a similar name to a word doc you had made. You can't open word docs in paint.
You can scan a document and then open it in Paint as a .BMP file.
Is that what you did before?

Sorry guys, didn't mean to be rude but I just be coming and going and things get put on the back burner. I think actually what I was doing the last time was doing out my word doc and then when I was done I just copied and pasted into Paint. It just came to me, maybe it was the Lemsip.
