When my washing machine failed part-way through a wash cycle (after a mere 28 years service!) I put the wet clothes in a large bucket while I thought about what to do next and then forgot all about them, with the consequence that I now have three shirts with mould/mildew on them. I've tried white vinegar with the detergent, I've tried a soak in borax solution, and a soak in washing soda, but so far without success. Do any of you have any useful suggestions, or should I just buy some new shirts?
Eeeuch. I'd get some new ones. However, you could try putting two large soluble aspirins in with the detergent. It gets rid of blood stains, so it might get rid of mould stains, with a bit of luck.
Before clothes gets dry cleaned, they are checked for personal belongings left in pockets, cuts, and lost buttons. These items are given back to the same customers and all issues are considered as points known before process for cleaning.
