Road Rules for Cyclists?
24 Answers
I was cycling in my local market town along a oneway street and I had 2 run-ins with the locals about cycling on a oneway street in the wrong direction. I thought this would've been fine if I am only a cyclist keeping near the kerb.
Was I incorrect for doing this?

But all cyclists are incarnations of God almighty, they can do no wrong, they cycle wherever they wish, in any direction they wish, at any risk to themselves and others because if something happens it is always the other's fault for existing and being only human; no laws apply to cyclists. What are you lot thinking of ?
i read some where recently, possibly only applies to the capital, that bikes will be allowed to travel the wrong direction on one way streets. Having been a cyclist, i loved ever moment, i find it galling the way that many flout the laws. Riding on pavements is illegal yet many still do it. As to the berk who cycled through the small local park recently, where there are big signs up no cycling allowed. He was going flat out and only missed a little child by inches. i wish i had something handy to swat him with.
I would love to cycle but the hills here are very steep (excuse #1) and I am scared of getting killed (excuse #2). I am full of admiration for people who cycle. Muchlove, just nip off your bike and push it along the pavement if you are going down that street again.
Some of our friends got done for pushing their bikes whilst tiddly - it was the balloons wot gave them away.
