Santa Delivering Via Courier ?

I have a large box (microwave sized) to send from Scotland to England. It will be full of Xmas presents.

I am not feeling very well just now and the thought of lugging it down to the GPO is an unpleasant one.

Do any of the courier companies do door to door services for on-off parcels? I have tried Google but they all seem to refer to business deliveries.

If you go to the Helpa nd advice tab it explains how to send a parcel with them. Looks easy enough. You log it on line, give address details for collection and delivery and pay by credit card or paypal .

Try a company called HERMES they do door to door by private individuals like yourself. Just google them and there is sure to be someone in your area

In my experience, the one-of couriers are very expensive. It may be cheaper to take a taxi to the post office or employ the services of the kid next door who may be glad of a bit of pocket money.

I used parcelforce to return a tv to germany a few years ago and they collected it from my house. I can't remember exactly how I went about it, but I'm pretty sure I did it all online.

I, eventually, used parcels2go and UPS. It will will cost me about £16 and that includes extra insurance.

The only problem was that since I live in Scotland they made me feel like I was on a far and uncharted planet.

It 'should' be picked up today.
