Picked up the bike this lunchtime after its MoT and service - and since it was a nice day I went for a bit of a spin to blow the New Year cobwebs away.

After an hour or so I stopped for a cuppa and a bit of a warm-up - and my phone pinged.

It was the lovely gness alerting me to 'Waxwings in Kettering' - so get back on bike, observing all speed limits (honestly), straight to Morrison's car park.

Spotted the assorted twitchers first and then the waxwing (just one by then) sitting obligingly in a nearby tree. A beautiful bird :+)

Then repaired to the pub for a chip butty and a warm - finally a blast along the A14 and M6 to get home just before dusk - perfick :+)

good to see the day went well for you, dave
certainly the weather helped today
You observed the speed limit about as much as I did! You were there before me and I was closer. Good though wasn't it! :-)

Got to Uni and bought a BSA Bantam ( on the never).

This is nothing to do with your thread.....;-)
A bit of sunshine and dry roads! Makes a world of difference doesn't it.

Sure does Zacs - although there are some serious potholes around - even on the A14 ... very nasty in places
Hey...don't forget the little flock that flew overhead..we count those.

Much bigger than I expected, Shoota - a small flock would feed a family of four for a week ...
I know Shoota is just teasing. :-I
Knob of butter in the cavity, strip of bacon on the breast, medium hot oven.....
4 and 20....................
Just continue with your idiotic chatter and ignore my very informative and interesting post.........I don't care......
Do you have waxy potatoes with wax wings?
Best to give that recipe a bunch of thyme before it catches on shoota :)
sulk sulk sulk
Sqad, a bantam eh?

I learnt to ride on a Honda CD175, sqad - a straight rip-off of a BSA Bantam, with one crucial difference ... it started when required ;)
