Painting Uvpc Door
7 Answers
Hi again,
work is never ending. front door was fitted by a twit, needed more draught excluder than a collander, and when you came home in the dark, if the hall light was on it lit up the pathway through the gaps in the door frame. anyway, can i paint a plastic door? its white, gone off colour a bit, i doubt if it could be replaced without replacing the frame? or could it? so painting seems to be the option, do not want half the house wrecked with removing frames and so on.
thanks all,
annie.

Undercoat and finish in any way you like. My own is finished in Farrow & Ball ......... very tasteful ;o)
I guess you have a uPVC door AND frame, fitted as a unit?
If so, then it should be adjustable. Probably not by a twit though :o)

Builder, there is a gap at the top, and it is not level from frame to door top. light and wind come throuigh, this is same for back door. drastic action required, as no amount of draught excluder tape has any real effect. it appears the door is somewhat smaller than required to fit the frame, but i have seen this in lots DIY bodge ups, nothing fits. any cheap remedies, or is it new frame and door
