Jessops Snapfish is free and will take a lot of images.
What would happen if the company storing them went bust - would you have access to them? That's a question I would ask before choosing any one of them.

Good Point Quoi .... I shall be storing in in 2 or 3 places, plus on facebook, plus on laptop - so hopefully will be OK!!

Are there any sites that have bulk uploading - Flickr takes too long!!!
If the images are just for storing, why not buy one of those 2.5" external hard drives? They are quite cheap and easy to use. storage size is up to your choice.

Just what I was going to say, wildwood - our photos are on our PC and backed up nightly onto our external hard drive.
hard drives can deteriorate, though... I have also been thinking of backing separately onto the cloud somewhere (already on two external hard drives) but don't really know whether it's any good or just a fad.

Am using Flickr ..... 1 Terabyte (whatever that is!!) of free space and easier than I thought to use ... but have been at it for 9 hours!!!
1 terabyte = 1000 gigabytes, so quite a lot
