If no period of mourning, the funeral is often used. In this case there is no official period of mourning, and the funerals are being held as and when possible. At least one local council decided to fly them until 14 July which seems suitable. In the absence of these defined periods, I have to suggest that a suitable time to end the gesture is when you feel that you have properly expressed your respect.
