I had this problem, but there isnt a simple way to just 'rotate' them. I was told by an I.T. person that you have to make sure that when you take the photos and videos in the first instance to have your phone screen in landscape not portrait view )turn phone on its side) - this does the trick.

So I can't turn it round after the event like you can with photos? Arghhhh!!
If you download your photos & vids onto a PC there is a programme you can download to turn them around the right way but Ive forgotten what its called, I did use it once but it was hardwork and such a faff I gave up.
You could look at these:
http://www.wikihow.com/Rotate-a-Video
http://www.freemake.com/how_to/how_to_rotate_video
The second one includes a YouTube clip.
I used one of these, I forget which, and it worked fine - but it taught me to always hold the camera in the right orientation!
