Can anyone point me to an online (basic) guide to Windows 8 please?

Haven't been able to find a straightforward version, I've gone by trial and error and lots of swearing!! hopefully 8.1 will be better

It came with my new laptop last weekend, seems to me to be more complicated than it needs to be.

Goddaughter, who has had it for 6 months, coming round today to give an old man a lesson or two.

Have ordered a guide off Amazon too, so hopefully before next week I might have some idea on how to use it. In the mean time open the desktop page and use the old system

W8 comes with a user guide on the Desktop, extreme right App.

I spent 4hrs last night downloading Adobe Flash to open YouTube; today its asking for Adobe to be downloaded again........grrrrrrr

Once App Tiles are open .... How do you close them?

move the mouse pointer to top of screen where it becomes a hand, then click and drag down to the bottom of the screen (probably)
