35mm and 110mm are just different formats, their names denote their size 110mm film, which is pretty much defunct now, was used in instamatic cameras that were popular in the 1970s for holiday snaps etc. 35mm film is used mainly by holiday snappers too now, it's basically the best size to get a decent photo without being too large to show up minor out of focus or fuzziness problems. Whereas medium and large format photography is used mainly by professionals.
