Use the software that comes with the phone. The only problem is, you won't get a lot of tunes on your phone, Not very much memory you see.

Ive put one song on my v3 for my ringtone and it took bout half hour to download so i aint tried anymore

there's a neat little device called magix ringtone maker, costs about 13 quid from amazon. that allows you to cut out a bit from a music track, it then makes it into wav, mp3 or whatever and puts it on your phone. Great fun and cheap as chips. Check that it will talk to your phone before purchase, I know it talks to v600s and razrs

buy yourself a usb bluetooth dongle about �20 or under, then u can send them tunes to your phone via that.if you download music, you can put them thru a music editing program called audacity (shareware) and cut the full tune down to a shorter one for ringtones. then simply bluetooth them across to your phone.
