Caffeine Shampoo

I see adverts on TV for this stuff.

Is there any reason to having caffeine on your scalp?

Perhaps they're also aware that if they tell men that caffeine appears to inhibit or reverse the effects of testosterone (which that research seems to suggest), some men might think that it'll make them less macho! ;-)

If word gets out that caffeine inhibits/reverses the effect of testosterone it won't do much for coffee sale, to men at least. Starbucks may have to change its name to StarDoes!!

I have used Caffeine shampoo for about 3 years now.
I was noticing thinning at my crown. Although it hasn't restored any hair, it seems to be slowing the rate of hair loss. Or perhaps its all in my mind and I am a gullible consumer?!

Given that the amount of caffeine in the neat shampoo is very small (caffeine is just above perfume in the ingredients list)...by the time the shampoo is applied to wet hair and lathered, I'd doubt that the concentration of caffeine would have any therapeutic effects at all.

Lol @ Prudie. Have just looked this shampoo up on Tesco website while I was ordering my groceries and for 250ml shampoo it's £8.99 and for 150ml conditioner it's £6.99 so that won't be going on my list. x
