another dress in complimentary colour to original and add that colour in some way to the other bridesmaids...sash...hair adornment...flowers...shoes...so they tie in...
even if she is smallish for dates tink, at 7 months the dress is useless, maybe best to try and get something similar nearer the wedding, don't worry though, it will be ok.

MM i have 5 of the same all different colours... It has to be this colour and the designer has stopped making dresses! Argh!!

So i am hunting for material similar fr a panel
To be added at least! The dress has laceup back x
Have you spoken to a dressmaker?
I'd suggest consulting a seamstress. Depending on the style, it might be possible to insert an extra panel in similar material. Or even she may be able to alter the style so that she takes material from one part of the dress to insert in another part of the dress.

Alternatively, promote her to Maid of Honour and get her another dress.
Now if you'd chosen me as the fifth bridesmaid you wouldn't have had this problem!... ;-)

Barmaid has the answer....xx
If the dress has been discontinued it clearly hasn't been made for her especially. The only option is to buy another dress.
Naomi I read that it was exclusive and was no longer available because the designer has stopped producing clothes.
Can you get matching material to make a flowing (waterfall) top to hip length, elasticate skirt of original dress to length as required.

The designer is a "chain" in wedding shop.

Now no longer designs bridesmaid dresses. All were measured and made to sizes... Except length.

I think ill have to find the best colour i can and get a panel made.

Where do i even start with the material!

Nightmare!!!!! I cant buy another dress to match the rest as its no longer available in ANY colour.
Rather than try to match - matching never works - best to go with a different dress in a contrasting colour and match flowers and accessories with that.
Try squeezing her into it.

Im going to try to match. My dresses are all different colours anyway- they cost alot of money id rather try to match- i really like the colour. ..... Going to give it my best shot anyway!

Thanks! X
Tinkerbell take the dress to a friendly tailor/seamstress for advice. I'm certain this is not the first time this has happened during wedding plans.
Eat a Snickers before you go Bridezilla. :)
Well, at least you've made a decision, tinkerbell. Good luck. I hope all goes well.

Not a nightmare. Minor inconvenience. Not a nightmare. Minor inconvenience...and breathe. :)

Dont start me on the new tattoo!!! PMSL!

Oh ill sort it. Im not going to worry xx
tink, very inconsiderate of her to get pregnant before your wedding.... LOL
I like Naomi's idea.....a complete contrast with flowers/trims etc. in the same colour as the others could look quite dramatic...x

Failing that.....arrange for the fifth bridesmaid to get locked in the loo on the day of the wedding......xx
