Please God, can someone help with my daughters homework.

The HCF of 2 numbers is 6. The LCM of the same two numbers is 72.
What are the numbers?

I'm twisted and my head hurts.

Please help :)

Mwah, thank you FF. How did you get there?
Question Author
Hang on, it's supposed to be 2 numbers :)
Please FF explain
Sorry I misread it
The product of the two numbers is 144 I recall
Grr
The product of the 2 numbers is HCF x LCM = 72 x 6 = 452
Not sure if that helps. Sorry- on phone here!
432.
I'll come back in a few minutes!
Can a mod zap all my answers please! (Not really)
Hi Factor, what is HCF and LCM?
Question Author
Highest Common Factor and Lowest Common Multiple, apparently!
that looks like 2 and 18
Highest common factor...lowest common multiple
72 and 6?

LCM lowest (or least) common multiple
HCF of 6 and 72 is 6
LCM of 6 and 72 is 72
I misread HCF at first as being 2.
Just shows I can't multitask

Rocky save this link. Your daughter is obviously bright or she would not be in this set or be getting this homework. You can let her go through it at her leisure. Sometimes maths is like a picture with a piece missing.
Make that 360 then
