I had to turn my washing upside down to change the waste hose pipe. It's now really loud and moving across my kitchen floor when it's on the spin cycle. Does anyone know what's causing this and how to resolve it please.

Sounds like the drum is now out of balance ( since you turned the machine upside down ).
I suggest that you check that the balance weight(s) are still in situ, tandh.

Well there usually concrete and situated in the bottom of the machine, tandh.

ohh, and thank you so much for recommending that durex once wood paint, it's so easy to use and gives such a good finish

lol I thought it was heavy when I was trying to move it
I know this is for a Candy washing machine but it should give you some idea of what a balance weight looks like.

If you can remove the top and look inside you may be able to see the balance weights. Check the suspension springs (if any) are still secure.

Your welcome, tandh. Good stuff isn't it.
LOL, I didn't spot that, bednobs.
Something for the weekend, sir?
Hi tandh

Might just be when you moved it, and give it a few cycles....See if the noise stops......

Worse case scenario:
About 4 weeks ago, we had our washing machine making so much noise and jumping about on spin cycle....Called Hotpoint, as we have a 5 appliance insurance on certain kitchen equipment, and we're told almost certainly the bearings on the way out.....Engineer came next day appt....Confirmed it was the bearings and that he will change for a new drum also, as comes complete.....Ordered parts that he needed and came back a couple of days later...Engineer said he put it together the previous night at his home, simply took the old one out, and reassembled the new kit. Smooth as when first bought now.

If you have cover or warranty worth getting done.....If not and you are diagonosed with this fault, better off probably getting a new one. Good luck.
