Hi,

If a committee has a chairman, treasurer, secretary, publicity officer and a members rep, what order of importance do they go in.

I assume the Chairman first but not sure if the next is treasurer or secretary.

Anyone know?

Thanks

if it is that important then it should be in the articles/minutes setting up that ctee

ask the chmn

as treas I was lower than a secretary but higher than the note taker
It depends on the committe. On ours the Chair is the lead, Treasurer and Secretary are Officers and the rest members. Officers are all equal.
The note taker is higher that the financial officer ? Wow.
I reckon it could be any order agreed. After choosing the head bod, the rest could be considered equals.

I suppose it ends up being whatever order the person writing it thinks. Or If I'm writing up minutes who's name I remember first lol
After the Chairman I would list the Officers in alphabetical order, annotating their particular title alongside their name, followed by other attendees.
I've been a treasurer and a secretary. I never thought about who is more important than whom.
