I have an EE freeview box and use the subtitles quite a lot.

During the adverts, a line from the advert tends to stay on the screen when it shouldn’t, and so I have to turn the subtitles on, then off again to get rid of it.

Is this the fault of the EE box or is it my tv? The tv is quite old, (10 yrs) and is a Bush make.

Is there anything I can do stop it happening? Thanks.

It's the fault of the broadcaster, when you switch the subs on and off you are just jumping past the fault. I wouldn't bother, I just ignore them.

But, but, but, I don’t want to watch the rest of the programme with a line of script on the screen all the time, sapel.
Sorry about that, thought it was like mine which goes after a few minutes.
I'll have a think about it and get back to you.

:) Thanks.
Does your TV have built in Freeview?

No. Much too old for that.
Bang goes my next suggestion, I'll keep thinking.
