They gave a starting price of £19.50 in the auction. I've been offered £20. The item is selling for £55 to buy out right. There are no other bids but I've only listed it. Am I obliged to sell it ? I have not advertised on eBay before so not sure how it works.
If the auction still has days to run, then no you don't have to sell at the £20 'offered'. That is just an initial bid, it may, hopefully, change over the remaining period of auction as and when others decide to enter the auction. (I also think you mean £55 is the 'Buy It Now' price where, if somebody does offer you £55 you have to make a decision to sell). If there...
The £19.50 figure was only a suggested figure. You could have set it higher (or lower)- something like £40 might have been better. Was there an option to set a minimum price/reserve price- i thought there was. When is the auction ending? It's common for bids to come in at the last minute
Look at your Active Selling list. There will a box that says Sell Similar but if you click on it you'll get a dropdown list of actions, the last one being End Listing. See if that works.

If there is no movement over £20 at the end of the auction, then come back to us.
If some on has made an offer .. just decline it. They have only two more chances to make better offers. After that they will have to take part in the auction if they still want it.
You will not receive the best offers on day one .. leave it and see how many watchers you get .. dont panic !
If I want something in an auction, my bid is placed in the last two seconds. I cant ever remember actualy placing my own bid as an auction ends .. it is always done automaticaly using an Auction Sniper. So you dont always know who is watching ... Good luck!
tamaris I used to buy and sell lots on ebay, not sure how if the rules have changed, but if you have put a buy it @ £55 you are not obliged to accept any offers below that, but it's only day 1.
