Anything done by Norton software can by done just as well by free software.

A firewall called Zone Alarm has a free version that is used by millions worldwide and is fine.

Also AVG offer a free anti-virus for home use which is also used by millions world wide.

Adaware is a free spyware catcher which is also used by millions of people.

I use all three products and they are all free (although AVG and Zone Alarm do have chargable versoins), and all provide regular updates.

Al three products need to be installed on each PC.

we do this at my house...

only the first computer in the line needs a firewall. if you use a router, then you should put a seperate copy on each machine (because you can't install software on a router). but if you do it yhe old fashioned way like we do, just the one that goes to the modem needs a firewall

Hi Josaphine, please don't use number abbreviations for words such as 4 = for when describing things like this, it makes it very easy to misunderstand your question. looks like you want to pay for 43 nortons!!

It is also a bad habit to to this in normal situations anyway because you might do this one day in a safety or health related situation and get the wrong help or diagnosis, how about if you make somebody take 43 aspirins instead of 3 ?
