womxn what exactly?
mxn eh?
Pee off. Lol x
Is it code ?
Yes, according to Wikipedia the term is used by feminists to avoid the spelling woman, and to foreground transgender, nonbinary, and women of color.

I'm not sure how it's pronounced though
Never!!
It's the word for "woman" by transgender people.... as it is allegedly more "inclusive".
Don’t come the rxw prxwn, tubby.
I certainly wouldn't say feminists, ff. It's people who don't believe real women actually exist.
Far too oblique for me, I had no idea that it was an actual term.

If you are asking for opinions roy, I think it's making life unnecessarily complicated for people who already have enough to deal with.

txbby... if you don't mind.
Dictionary definition says;

womxn[ woom-uhn ]SHOW IPA
noun, plural wom·xn [wim-in].
a woman (used, especially in intersectional feminism, as an alternative spelling to avoid the suggestion of sexism perceived in the sequences m-a-n and m-e-n, and to be inclusive of trans and nonbinary women):

You pronounce it the same though....
fiction - // ... to foreground ... //

To 'foreground' ??????

Are these people making up a complete new language now?????

Perhaps you have to do those little 'air quote' gestures with your hands as you say the words?

It will make you look like an idiot, but hey, you are already proving you are definitely an idiot by indulging in this attention-seeking facile pap in the first place!!!
sxrry.
Language evolves, andy, as you know. If front can be a verb then surely foreground can be
Yes, andy. Fair enough, ff, it may have started off that way. I have only seen it used over the last few years by transgender men, who find the word "woman" insulting and want it changed.
Who's old enough to remember Professor Stanley Unwin ?
