I came across this on YouTube and thought of you, so I'll post it here. (You'll probably hate it anyway but that's just life, I suppose!).

Nice voice. I love the Irish, fascinating people.

However you might interpret the word, I don't think that anyone here could ever say that Gness isn't 'fascinating', David ;-)

Thanks for your post!
Lovely voice and words.. :-)
Question Author
Thanks, Patsy ;-)
He appears not to sound the "t" in "heart" and "apart".

Perhaps it's his Coleraine accent, TCL?
A beautiful farewell song sang beautifully.

Thanks, Mamya ;-)
Nice voice.

. . . and nice scenery too, Tony!

I wonder if the waters of Carlingford Lough are always that calm? I suspect that the crossing might not be quite as smooth in a winter storm ;-)
Question Author. . . and nice scenery too, Tony!

Yes indeed, Chris ;-)
Beautiful Irish music such as that always gives me a strange, familiar feeling that I wonder if ,way back, I have Irish ancestors, I'd like to think so.
Thank you Buenchico ! :-))
Question Author
Thanks, Haras2. (You're a lot closer to Ireland than I am anyway!).

;-)
That's true.
Half an hour to Fishguard and Stena's your uncle to Rosslare !
Now why would I hate it, Chris? Apart from the God bit it's the most beautiful song and means much to those who had to leave and could never return. And I've never had anything other than an Irish heart. As for the bagpipes...well we all know they originated in Ireland. So thank you....x

I hope we're fascinating, David. I think Dave has found us that and more since coming to live with us in this unusual village.... :-)

Now come on, Corby! I know where you live! May be little Scotland but there are enough of us around you for you to know that our consonants are more often than not soft.... :-)

You may be not too far back to get an Irish passport, Harras.....the world and his wife seem to want one now!
Question Author
I'm pleased you like it, Gness.

Was the village you now live in 'unusual' before you and Dave got there or only since you arrived, I wonder?

;-)
We seem to have made a mark, Chris...well especially Dave, they were used to me... :-)
Having only experienced Mayo..which is beautiful..I knew that the day my dad first took the tiny me to this village it was different. Every time I left for Mayo or the UK my heart stayed here and now I've caught up with it I couldn't be happier.

Visit us. You'll fit in so well....x
Question Author
I might not want to leave though, Gness. The feline threesome definitely wouldn't approve!

;-)
Bring them, Chris. You'd not believe how many cat lovers there are here. Bloody things are adored and spoiled rotten!
Question Author
That's only because they're all witches' familiars though, Gness ;-)
