Hi all - can someone explain to me why, when I plugged my Kobo in to recharge via USB, it started at 22% then jumped to 79% within 3/4 minutes & now each +1% takes 5 minutes or more?

Why does it take longer to fill up the "top end"?

It got to 100% about 10 minutes ago...
Sounds like a duff rechargeable cell to me. See if you can get a replacement battery.
I've noticed that with my cell-phone. It charges really quickly up to around 98% and then takes much longer to reach 100%.
I charge my Kobo from the mains, much quicker.
If it holds the charge for a reasonable time, no need to think about changing the battery.
