Last night I was listening to a book I had purchased from Audible. Part way through a chapter it stopped. I got a pop-up telling me I could only listen on-ine. I switched off and tried again this morning. It's just the same. Any idea why this is happening or if there is anything I can do to get back to listening off-line
Sorry for the late reply. Physio turned up sooner than expected.
I'm using it on a Kindle fire.
I don't know how I could have signed out, it was lying next to me and I wasn't touching it.
It does of course work fine on-line.
This happened to me last week but may have been for a different reason. Did you use a credit to buy it?
I was listening to a book that that had been in my library for a while. It was either included or one of the daily specials. It stopped half way through. I didn't know that there was a time limit on some! Had to use a credit to finish the book!
Dave knows more about Audible than I do so I'll point him to this.
When listening to an Audible purchase, I always download it completely first (rather than just clicking to play) - that means that I can continue to listen if/when our rather flaky internet connection goes down.
Glad you're sorted, Imlost and you're keeping Audible. I love it. Remember to save your credit for the 2for1 offers if you can. The Plus Catalogue is worth keeping an eye on too. You probably know all that! Enjoy.
