I thought I'd make a new thread so this man been on about in previous thread so I know from the dog's home had a strop other day as manager said he had to wear thier hi vi's vest with dogs home branded on when walking dogs. The manager didn't like my yellow jacket that he use to wear for work, and told him he had to wear one of theirs. So he told her that it was the lowest form of management "do as I say, not do as I do", as her and her staff never wear one, and that they should be setting an example to us walkers. She said I haven't got enough time to talk to you about this now, I said, "well you chose now to start it", and carried on, so it went from there. The staff wear thier uniform branded with dogs home. He hasn't been back since and not heard from him much either only when ge gave me a bag of treats to give to the dogs.

Well, if it's mandatory, he'll have to wear it - or he won't get to be a volunteer. It'd be a good thing for you if he didn't come back, as you seemed to have got in an awful muddle with him - finding him creepy months ago, going out for dinner with him last week and so on.I think you should move on from this old guy now. I'm sure you'd rather concentrate on finding and...

Question Author

They don't know I'm not in care home no more down dogs home

I find double negatives confusing  and triples even more so

Question Author

I just made another excuse and said I cant go out in car hes borrowed for day

I've worked it out now

They don't know I'm not in care home no more down dogs home = The people down at the dogs home don't know that you are no longer working in the carehome.

I'm not sure of the relevance of that, abbey.

Did he say why he had borrowed a car and not used his own ? Maybe his usual car was in for a service/MOT.

Where did he want to take you . Did he say ?

NMA.  Same transcription here. I am getting rather good at doing so now 😀

It's not.

He said unless he gives a lift in I not replied tho.

Renault lent it to him

The fact that you always make an excuse means he will always remain hopeful that you will go with him or meet with him on another day. He will continue to ask you to join him to do things until you give a clear and kind explanation that you don't think the two of you should see each other at all.

Quite awkward when he 60s and I'm 31.

Just saw a photo of Brad Pitt who is 60 with his 33 year old girlfriend. He still looks fantastic. Nothing wrong with the age difference.

"He said unless he gives a lift in I not replied tho."

I can't understand that

You have so often said about age difference, Abbey.  Gee whizz, he's only a man who does the dog walking, same as you, and age would seem immaterial.  You are definitely not making him see he is no more than that to you - why is it so difficult?

You should give clear explanation that you do not think it best for him to offer lifts in trips out with you even as a friend. Then he may understand you and not keep offering to do things on a different day each time. Giving excuses means he keeps asking. Make things clear to him.

I think Abbey is finding it really hard to actually end the friendship after so many years, as she still likes him ....as a friend... nothing more.

After so many years//  I didn't realise Abbey had known him for a long time, Floko.

Haz, she did mention it somewhere .  I am now beginning to understand  the true situation , in view of the latest info I read. I think Abbey has genuinely misinterpreted some of his remarks which are actually not as she thinks,; I am treating her very carefully now

//I think Abbey is finding it really hard to actually end the friendship after so many years, as she still likes him ....as a friend... nothing more. //

I don't think anyone thought it was anymore than a friendship - it all appears to be in Abbey's imagination.  I don't believe for one minute that all she has accused him off has happened, because if it had she would have made her parents, the rescue centre and even possibly the police aware given some of her claims!

Abbey - I really do not understand why you keep telling us all this about this man and all the updates when you disagree with absolutely every single comment or suggestion that is made to you. Either stay friends with him or don't, that's it!
